A 17-year-old Mid North Coast driver is among three P-platers caught driving at high speeds across the state at the weekend.

The young woman was detected allegedly driving at 50km/h above the speed limit on the Pacific Highway.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Highway Patrol were conducting speed-enforcement duties on the Pacific Highway, Eungai Creek, about 7.50am on November 28 when they detected a Kia being driven at 125km/h in the 100km/h zone.
Police activated lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle; however, the driver allegedly accelerated reaching speeds of up to 140km/h before she stopped.
She has been issued with an infringement for the offence of P1 driver exceed 90km/h - over 45km/h and her licence has been confiscated and suspended for six months.
The TIN carries a fine of $2520 and six demerit points. P1 licence holders are limited to 90km/h.
