A Mobil-branded service station, on the corner of Gordon Street and Munster Street, will open no later than Monday (November 30).
RCI Group managing director Stephen Moore confirmed employees were on board in readiness for the start of trade.
He said the service station was so accessible and predicted it would be a hive of activity.
"You will find fuel prices will be cheaper [in Port Macquarie] than what they were prior to Mobil being there," Mr Moore said about the increased competition.
The construction of a second service station, also Mobil-branded, on the corner of Ocean Drive and Ackroyd Street, is well-advanced.
All the trades are focusing on the Ocean Drive/Ackroyd Street project given the other Mobil-branded service station is about to open.
It is hoped the Ocean Drive/Ackroyd Street service station will open before Christmas.
There is another Mobil-branded service station in the planning pipeline on Hastings River Drive.
That service station, to be located on the front portion of the Melaleuca Caravan Park, is in the development application phase.
Construction is hoped to start in March/April, pending development consent.
