And the fundraising push continues.
The Lost Plot Community Garden will host a giant garage sale on Saturday (November 28) from 8.30am to 1pm to raise funds for the establishment of a not-for-profit funeral service in the Hastings.
Tender Funerals is a community-led funeral service with a focus on affordability, community involvement, compassionate support and healthy bereavement.
Tender Funerals Mid North Coast chairperson Denis Juelicher said there had been an incredible amount of community support for the fundraising efforts.
"We've raised $25,000 through an online crowdfunding campaign already and we're hoping to double this amount in the last week of the campaign," she said.
"The generosity of our community, in a year that has been challenging for all, is incredible."
The garage sale will be run as a community market with refreshments and music.
