Nominations are now open for the 2021 Port Macquarie-Hastings Australia Day awards.
Australia Day is a day for all Australians, no matter where our personal stories began.
It is the day to celebrate diversity and the values that we share as an Australian community.
Categories on offer for 2021 Australia Day Award categories include:
- Young Citizen of the Year (16 - 30 years)
- Citizen of the Year (31 - 65 years)
- Senior Citizen of the Year (65+ years)
- Community Group of the Year
- Environmental Citizen of the Year
There are many deserving locals in the Port Macquarie-Hastings community who continue to make a difference, going above and beyond, whether it be through their efforts during last year's bushfires or the current health pandemic crisis.
Nominations close on November 30.
All nominations must be completed and submitted via the online award nomination form on council's website. To submit a nomination, CLICK HERE.
Award recipients will be announced as part of council's Australia Day official program planned for Australia Day 2021 on Tuesday, January 26.
