Matches were to start on Saturday October 17.
Group Three chief executive Mal Drury said the opening round will now be played at Port Macquarie on October 24.
"There were just too many other events clashing this weekend,'' he said.
"So we put it back a week.''
Mr Drury said there has also been a number of withdrawals from the under 15s and 17s, although at this stage eight sides will contest the open division.
Wingham will be the only Manning team in the open division. Wauchope, Port City, Lower Macleay, Kendall, Macleay Valley, Coffs Harbour and Port Sharks will be the other representatives. Forster-Tuncurry withdrew last week, citing a lack of players.
At the conclusion of the open's competition a North Coast Bulldogs train-on squad will be selected to take part in next year's Country Championships.
