The completed works were unveiled on Thursday, October 8.
The $66 million works include learning and teaching spaces, tiered lecture theatres, an event space, technology studio, engineering and sciences labs, a student gym and staff offices.
Charles Sturt University deputy vice-chancellor for research and engagement, Professor Heather Cavanagh said student capacity will increase from 1000 to 2800 with the opening of stage 2a.
Professor Cavanagh said the Stage 2B of the project is expected to be delivered in December this year.
"This is part of our longer term plan," she said. "That plan involves making this campus into CSUs largest campus with more than 5000 students.
"The completion of stage 2a benefits students by introducing more special space using both buildings and allows more facilities for international students. Port Macquarie-Hastings Council innovation hub will be moving out of the town centre to here in stage 2b.
"Students will be interacting with business and startups from the word go. They will be vital connections as they move forward with their careers. This could not have been done without the local community, we are forever grateful for how the community has supported us."
Port Macquarie-Hasting Council mayor Peta Pinson said she was proud to celebrate the future economy and community growth from the project.
Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce executive officer Mark Wilson said he is looking forward to the future growth of the campus and its impact on local business.
