Lorelai is being assisted by community donations from Westport Bowling Club, Hexham Bowling Club, Kendall Community Op Shop and Little Wings after she was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH).
LCH is a rare cancer affecting immune system cells in children aged between one and three years old.
Lorelai developed a limp as a two year old and within three days had reverted back to crawling. After six weeks she was transferred to John Hunters Children's Hospital for X-rays, blood tests and ultrasounds of her left hip and a bone biopsy.
She received a positive diagnoses for LCH and was sent to Westmead Children's Hospital to start six months of chemotherapy and steroid treatment.
During that time Lorelai had her hip-spica removed and she learnt how to walk again through hydrotherapy and physiotherapy.
Lorelai's mother Olivia, thanked the community and charity groups that supported the family.
"When going through treatment you have so many things on your mind," said
"Little Wings (organises flight and ground transport services for sick children in regional areas and) takes the added stress of travelling out of the equation. We love how accommodating, friendly and professional everyone is. Nothing has ever been too for them."
Lorelai rang the bell at the oncology ward Westmead Children's Hospital on November 29 last year when she returned a clear pet scan and ceased chemotherapy.
