The Victorian Hotel Quarantine Inquiry has wrapped up, and while we await the final report due in early November, the debate around Premier Daniel Andrews' leadership is running hot.
There's team #IStandWithDan and team #DictatorDan.
And regardless of which side of the fence you stand on, you should be thankful that we can have the debate at all.
We are blessed in Australia that we have the right to openly like or dislike policies.
We can shout in 280 characters or less our every thought on lockdowns, without any real concern for personal or criminal repercussions.
We can even argue about if the coronavirus curfew infringed on our human rights in a court of law, as these lawyers challenging the validity of the now-scrapped Victorian 9pm to 5am restriction have argued.
Elsewhere in the world people are not so lucky. Take a look at our neighbours, Indonesia.
There, locals not following coronavirus health protocols have been handed a range of punishments - and none are as simple as a fine.
The list of penalties, reports the ABC, for not wearing a mask for example, includes forcing offenders to lie down in coffins, dig grave sites, pray for COVID-19 victims at cemeteries and do push-ups.
Back in April, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte warned police and military to shoot dead anyone "who creates trouble" during the country's month-long lockdown of the island of Luzon.
So, next time you are up in arms about a policy or decision made you don't agree with, just remember to stop and enjoy the fact you don't have to hide that opinion from the world - and if enough people feel the same way, maybe there will even be change.
