A donation of $25,000 from Panthers Port Macquarie will ensure they are on their way toward making the station ready for the summer fire-fighting season.
Brigade captain Kingsley Searle was overwhelmed by the generous donation from Panthers Port Macquarie CEO Russell Stockham.
The funds will go toward a project to lay a concrete slab at the station to provide easier and safer access for the brigades three trucks.
The brigade will need to source a further $25,000 in funding to bring the project to fruition.
Mr Stockham said it is important for Panthers Port Macquarie to give back to the local community.
"We're a local club helping local people," he said.
"After the fires last year, we are just doing our little bit to help."
North Shore RFB has recruited five new members boosting the station total volunteer crew numbers to 50.
Mr Searle said they are ready for another fire season and the challenges it may bring.
