A man was charged by Manning Great Lakes Police District officers for allegedly forging a medical prescription.

Earlier this month, a 19-year-old Port Macquarie man attended numerous pharmacies in the Taree area and allegedly presented forged prescriptions to obtain medication used to relieve severe pain.
He successfully obtained a quantity of medication on Saturday, September 5.
Just after 10am on Monday, September 7, police located the man in the Taree CBD. His vehicle was searched and a box containing a small amount of the medication, that was purchased on Saturday, was located.
The man was charged with three counts of uttering a prescription, one count of forging a prescription and one count of possessing the illegally obtained medication.
He will face Taree Local Court on October 13.
