Litter concerns since restrictions imposed

Since COVID-19 restrictions, the litter around Port Macquarie's main streets has worsened.
This is not a good look for Port.
Plastic takeaway drink containers, lids, straws, cutlery, masks and gloves thrown along our footpaths. Cigarette butts top the list of rubbish and the odd needle syringe.
Horton Street tops the list from Kentucky Fried down to Cenotaph. Litter thrown in all the bushes and shrubs along the roadway.
I've been to the council with photos and asked if they would put a rubbish bin at the seat near Kentucky Fried between the brick retaining wall and hedge, mounds of plastic cups, and litter abounds.
All this junk washes into the Hastings River and then the ocean.
Isn't there a big fine for littering?
People must still have money for takeaway food and a fine of $1,000. Amazing.
