MID North Coast Cricket Council's rescheduled annual meeting will be held within a month.
Council president David Burley said a date has been selected, but has yet to be ratified. However, he confirmed the meeting will be held before the end of July. The meeting was to be held in May but was postponed because of the COVID-19 restrictions.
The meeting is expected to nominate the starting date for the 2020/21 Mid North Coast Premier League. Mr Burley said a potential problem here could be the proposed grand final for the Upper Mid North Coast rugby union competition.
"They're talking about playing the grand final on October 11, the week after the long weekend,'' Mr Burley explained.
"That's when we would usually start our season.''
"If the (rugby) grand final is played on October 11 we'd have to look at what, if any impact that would have on us,'' Mr Burley said.
The 2019/20 premier league season was disrupted initially by bushfires and then rain before the coronavirus pandemic saw the competition wrapped up before the semi-finals were played. Cricket NSW shut down all competitions around the state.
Wingham, the minor premiers, were declared the major premiers.
