Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Mayor Peta Pinson said council reopened the carparks on Monday to allow easy access to the beach.
"As you know, under the Covid-19 pandemic we wanted to keep our community safe and over the Easter holidays we closed off the carparks as a preventative measure for group gatherings," she said.
"Monday, we opened all our beach carparks so now you can park, get onto the beach easy, take your walk or your stroll and enjoy the beautiful coastline that is Port Macquarie-Hastings."
Delivering her weekly update via video from Town Beach, Cr Pinson said council was preparing to repair the amenity blocks at Town Beach.
"We know that we had some damage to our amenity blocks some months ago and I'm really pleased to say that the crew are on site, they're ready to get started and we're ready to refurb those amenity blocks," she said.
Council would be erecting a new amenity block at Bonny Hills over the next three weeks, Cr Pinson said.
Exciting improvements to the Town Beach playground were also underway, she said.
"I'm a nanna, as you know, and I look forward to taking my grandson to the new playground when it's finished," she said.
"We can expect a new pump scooter track, but there's more to come. I have to keep my lips sealed for the moment but we'll talk more about that later."
