THE NSW Bushfire Inquiry will host a second community meeting for the Mid North Coast on Thursday, April 23.
This meeting will be a virtual meeting, held over the Zoom application, and commences at 5pm.
This is the second Mid North Coast meeting and has been scheduled due to the high community interest after the first was held on April 17.
The NSW Inquiry was announced by Premier Gladys Berejiklian on January 30.
The six-month inquiry will review the causes, preparation and response to the 2019-20 bushfires.
The inquiry will be led by Dave Owens, former Deputy Commissioner of NSW Police, and Professor Mary O'Kane AC, Independent Planning Commission Chair and former NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer.
The Premier said Professor O'Kane and Mr Owens have an extraordinary breadth and depth of experience into the matters they will be examining.
"NSW is incredibly proud of the efforts of all our emergency services personnel and volunteers throughout this ongoing bushfire season, but the scale of these fires has been unprecedented and we must leave no stone unturned," Ms Berejiklian said.
"This inquiry will allow NSW to learn from this season and the catastrophic conditions we've faced and apply these learnings for the future."
Residents living in the Mid Coast, Port Macquarie-Hastings, Kempsey, Bellingen Shire, Coffs Harbour and Nambucca Shire local government areas are encouraged to attend. Log on to the meeting from 4pm.
The Inquiry has further extended the submissions deadline to Friday, May 22.
Submissions will be published prior to the Inquiry reporting to the Premier.
