Tyson Alec MacKenzie, 24, of Railway Parade, Taree, was committed for sentence following his appearance in the Port Macquarie Local Court in March 19.
He appeared before Magistrate Georgina Darcy.
MacKenzie pleaded guilty to, hinder the discovery of evidence relating to a serious indictable offence and concealing a serious indictable offence.
The charges relate to the alleged murder of Tyron Beauchamp at Taree on December 25, 2018.
A charge of being an accessory after the fact to the alleged murder of Mr Beauchamp was withdrawn.
Documents indicate that MacKenzie burnt clothing relating to the alleged murder.
MacKenzie will be sentenced in the Port Macquarie District Court on June 1, 2020.
Four other men allegedly involved in the murder of Mr Beauchamp have also appeared before Magistrate Darcy in the Port Macquarie Local Court on April 9.
Darcy Dufty, 25, of Milligan Street Taree is charged with murder.
He was refused bail.
Andrew Maxwell Tisdell, 23, of Wingham Road Taree is also facing a murder charge and was formally refused bail.
Both men are yet to enter pleas.
Dufty and Tisdell are alleged to have murdered Mr Beauchamp on Christmas Day 2018 sometime between 1.30am and 2.30am.
Originally from Queensland, the body of 41-year-old Mr Beauchamp was found alight by Rural Fire Service volunteers in the Yarrat State Forest, just west of Taree on December 27, 2018.
A post mortem examination revealed Mr Beauchamp had been seriously assaulted before his body was taken to the area and set on fire.
Police allege the victim's hands and teeth had been removed before being set alight in an attempt to cover up his murder.
The matter against Tisdell was adjourned to May 7, 2020 for mention to fix a hearing date and on June 4, 2020 for mention and for a committal hearing.
Michael David Bennett, 44 of Wynter Street Taree remains on bail following his appearance in court.
Bennett is charged with being an accessory after the fact in the alleged murder; cause grievous bodily harm with intent and concealing a serious indictable offence.
No pleas were entered.
The fifth man charged in relation to the murder of Mr Beauchamp is yet to enter pleas.
Austin Parrish, 20, of Frances Street, Taree, remains on bail.
He is charged with being an accessory after the fact in the murder of Mr Beauchamp.
Dufty, Bennett and Parrish will return to the Port Macquarie Local Court on June 4, 2020 for committal.
