NSW Health has provided more extensive statistics of confirmed cases, breaking down the numbers by postcode.
Five of the 29 confirmed cases in the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area have an "unknown source of infection". They are identified as "locally acquired" and public health investigations and case interviews are ongoing in these cases.
Two confirmed cases are from a known cluster.
The data shows confirmed COVID-19 cases only based on location of usual residence, not necessarily where the virus was contracted.
Between 10-19 cases are people who reside in Port Macquarie; in Lake Cathie-Bonny Hills (1-9); in Laurieton (1-9) and Wauchope (1-9).
There are 51 cases in the Mid North Coast Health District area.
The first case identified in Port Macquarie, a 14-year-old student from St Columba Anglican school, has made a full recovery. All 60+ known contacts of the student self-isolated and have also been given the all-clear.
A 91-year-old man died in Port Macquarie Base Hospital and is the region's first COVID-19 fatality.
Port Macquarie is listed among 13 key NSW locations for increased COVID-19 testing.
NSW Health wants to encourage increased testing for communities where there has been evidence of local cases of transmission or a known cluster. This includes Port Macquarie.
The Mid North Coast Health District has a dedicated COVID-19 assessment clinic at Port Macquarie Base Hospital. Clinics are also open in Coffs Harbour and Kempsey.

Members of the community can help to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by staying home where possible, washing their hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub, covering coughs and sneezes, maintaining social distance and observing rules on social gathering.
