There are many unknowns, and our focus is on the health of council staff and our community.
We will continue to follow the leadership and advice of the state and federal governments in doing our bit to lower the rate of COVID-19 infection.
Council is committed to ensuring that the vital services that we all rely on each and every day continue.
This includes ensuring we have clean water in our homes, our sewage is managed as per normal, and our red, yellow and green bins are picked up.
We are all in this together, and like we have done during the recent bushfires, it is important that we are adaptable and flexible as the situation changes rapidly - one day at a time.
As a community we will get through this most difficult of times and it is vitally important that we support each other, and focus on action rather than reaction.
It is going to be tough as people's lives and businesses are turned upside down.
However, what I do know is that we are resilient, and we will get through this as the strong community we are.
You will see some changes to council services and facilities, and the situation is changing rapidly, so I encourage you all to stay up-to-date by following us on Facebook, and visiting our website, where we will be providing regular updates.
Stay safe, and look out for one another. Together we will get through this.
