Kristoffer Raymond Mitchell, of Franklin Drive, Lake Munmorah pleaded guilty via a letter to the Port Macquarie Local Court on March 16, 2020.
Mitchell was not in court when Magistrate Georgina Darcy heard the matter.
The Newcastle man was facing a charge of fail to comply with a notice to repair an unsafe vessel. A second, similar charge, was withdrawn.
Court documents reveal Mitchell was the owner of a vessel moored at Camden Inlet at Laurieton on July 23, 2019.
A notice ordering Mitchell to repair the unsafe vessel was issued. The court documents show that he did not comply with the order.
Magistrate Darcy fined Mitchell $4500 and ordered him to pay costs of $38,454.35 for the salvage and disposal of the vessel to the RMS.
