A Port Macquarie man will face trial in June 2020 on a charge of attempting to take or detain a child.

The 68-year-old man has pleaded not guilty.
He appeared before Justice D Price in the District Court, Sydney Downing Centre on January 29.
The man remains on conditional bail and there were no variations to those conditions.
The charge of take/detain a child with intent to remove from parental control carries a maximum penalty of 10 years' jail.
According to court documents, the incident allegedly occurred between 4pm and 5.30pm at a Port Macquarie business on May 23, 2019.
The bail conditions include, not entering a store on Short Street, Port Macquarie, not contacting the alleged victim and not approaching any person aged under 16 years.
Justice Price listed the trial for June 22, 2020 in the District Court, Port Macquarie.
Four days have been set aside for the trial.
The matter is listed for directions on April 16, 2020 in the District Court, Sydney Downing Centre.
