Volunteers, residents and visitors shared a meal and a chat during the community breakfast near the Port Macquarie Skatepark on December 25.
Patrons enjoyed toast, baked beans, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms and the all-important pancakes during the morning. Hot coffee, fruit and smoothies were served from the red 1961 Leyland Atlantean double-decker throughout the day.
Spokesperson Jenelle Rosendahl said around 40 volunteers started the day by setting up in wet weather.
"It's been amazing. This morning it poured down and the rain that we've needed for so long finally arrived," she said at the event.
"The whole area was like a pond but we managed to get all set up and fed the people who have come down. The pancakes are also quite fancy this year with raspberries and white chocolate sauce.
"There's about 40 volunteers in the early set up team and another three teams rostered on during the day."
Around 400 people usually attend the event throughout the day, according to Mrs Rosendahl.
"For a wet day there has been quite a few people and there is a continual flow of people throughout the day," she said.
"I'd like to give thanks to the people who have volunteered on Christmas Day and care that no one is alone. It wouldn't happen without the volunteers."
Donations raised on the day are being contributed towards the NSW Rural Fire Service.
