On Saturday, November 30, the MakerSpace Mini Market was held, showcasing the works of people using the new creative space.
MakeSpace aims to provide vulnerable students with a hands-on learning centre.
"We provide space, tools and equipment for people in two areas, trades and creative arts," said MakerSpace manager, Sue English.
"We are trying to develop a space, and encourage the mainstream community to join us in supporting vulnerable people who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to access this type of opportunity."
Ms English said art and creativity can be important to "mental health recovery".
"Our primary purpose is to provide opportunities for the vulnerable.
"We provide beautiful opportunities for community connection for the most vulnerable which is an extension of the work we do as a community college."
MakerSpace is located at 4 Albert Circuit, Port Macquarie.
