Marine Rescue Port Macquarie unit commander Greg Davies said the contribution by the Governor's Retirement Resort of $1010 would go towards the purchase of equipment.
Mr Davies said a priority for unit was the purchase of a spinal board.
On April 14 Marine Rescue Port Macquarie members helped rescued critically-injured three men off a sinking boat between Crescent Head and Port Macquarie.
Their response to the April 14 incident earned members of the unit an international award.
Mr Davies said the unit relies on contributions from community members to ensure the service's operation.
Governor's Retirement Village resident Philippa Reiss said the donation was an opportunity for the community to say thank you to Marine Rescue members for all their hard work.
Funding was raised through raffles and a treasure trove fundraiser at the resort.
