A man has been transported to John Hunter Hospital after suffering serious head and neck injuries in a single vehicle crash at Herons Creek on Thursday, November 7.

The incident happened at about 11am on the Pacific Highway at Herons Creek, south of Port Macquarie.
The motorist was a 73-year-old man and he was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the Westpac Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team.
Emergency services including NSW Fire and Rescue and police also attended the incident.
Traffic was redirected on the highway after northbound lanes closed due to the incident.
