Held at Ryde Aquatic Center on October 13, the small band of dedicated swimmers went to compete against the best of the best around the state and did extremely well.
The event is a critical must for Multi Class swimmers in NSW. The swimmers swim together in each stroke and distance and then medals are awarded in each classification and age group.
The most significant result was for Ben Auckram aged just 15 from Lismore who is an S7. Ben broke a provisional Australian and State record in the 400 freestyle and also placed 1st in 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle.
Other swimmers who did well include Morgan Jean, 17, from Wauchope who competes in the S 14 who placed in 1st 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly and 200 medley.
Claire McIntosh,19, from Laurieton in the S 14 category placed 1st 50 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 100 butterfly, 100 Breaststroke and 2nd 50 breaststroke and Madeline Goodridge ,14, from Laurieton in the S 7 placed 1st 50 freestyle and 50 backstroke.
