About 200 delegates gathered at the United Hospital Auxiliaries of NSW 86th Annual State Conference at Sails by Rydges on October 23 and 24.
UHA state president Linda Swales said communities respected the UHA.
She said the members raised funds, and at these times of drought and bushfires, even though money was tight, people gave.
Branches gifted items with a value of more than $5.1 million to health facilities in the past financial year and volunteers gave a total of 952,547 hours.
Port Macquarie Base Hospital's Pink Ladies, an auxiliary of UHA, hosted the conference.
The conference delegates debated and passed six resolutions on day one.
The resolutions will be forwarded to the relevant ministers for consideration.
Ms Swales said the organisation was prized on its thoughts.
"We have the right platform, we have 5500 members and there are different needs and demographics from all corners of NSW," she said.
The conference's final day was a time for celebration with awards and certificates handed out.
Ms Swales said the delegates loved Port Macquarie.
The conference was also a chance for the volunteers to network.
"What we get out of this is knowledge and friendship," she said.
Governor of NSW Margaret Beazley, director Population Health Strategic Programs from the Ministry of Health Meredith Claremont and Ministry of Health policy unit manager Tim Duck were among the conference's special guests.
Guest speakers included Mid North Coast Local Health District consumer partnerships coordinator Nicholas Kosseris, Sue Stubbs of Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and former police officer and author Sam Barlow.
