From next season they'll go under the banner of Mid Coast Football Club (MCFC).
This will include all sides playing in the Northern NSW premier leagues at junior and senior level.
FMNC chairman Mike Parsons said this is an endeavour to give the sides a more 'club-like' inclusiveness.
"We're a zone but we're moving forward we're trying to build a club-like culture in our sides,'' he said.
"We want our players to take ownership of the teams they're involved with.''
The majority of teams in the NPL and WPL are Newcastle-based clubs, with Mid Coast the only 'representative' team from a Northern NSW member zone.
Mr Parsons revealed a medium-term goal for the zone would be to move into the senior men's grades in the NPL when there is sufficient infrastructure in this area.
He hopes this can be achieved within five to 10 years.
