The Port Macquarie News was out and about on race day capturing the event - and the fashions.
The race day is one of the most popular sporting events on our calendar.
And besides being a huge - if not the biggest day on the social calendar - it's a boost for the racing industry.
This year an extra $90,000 will be on offer thanks to Racing NSW's promotion of country racing.
The Port Macquarie Cup feature race prize money will jump from $150,000 to $200,000 this year.
The Port Macquarie Sprint will have a $10,000 increase, as will the Open Handicap.
The Country Magic will increase from $30,000 to $50,000 overall.
