A 52-year-old woman has been charged after two young women died when they were allegedly struck by a car in a Nambucca Heads shopping centre.

The woman, the mother of one of the victims, will appear in Kempsey Local Court on Monday, September 30 to face charges of manslaughter, dangerous driving causing death and failing to stop and render assistance.
She was one of two other people taken to hospital.
The incident occurred just before midnight on Saturday, September 28 when police were called to the Nambucca Plaza shopping centre.
Two women had allegedly been struck by a vehicle and were not responsive.
Despite attempts to resuscitate the pair, who had suffered severe injuries, both died at the scene. They were a 24-year-old from Bellingen and a 20-year-old from Macksville.
Police resources from across the state were called in to investigate the incident that has left two families reeling from the tragedy.
