On Friday October 4, the morning film will be Paper Planes, for primary schoolers from 10am to 12noon, and that afternoon, the movies will be December Boys, for teens, from 2pm to 4pm. Pop corn and cordial will be provided.
Library Kylie Rose says they will put up a big screen in the meeting room and they hope to see lots of young people there, so they can do it again.
"It gives the young people, particularly the teenagers, something to do in the holidays," she said.
Also at Wauchope Library, Crafty Suncatchers will be made at a workshop on Monday September 30 from 10am to 11am, for 8 years plus. Bookings essential at www.mnclibrary.org.au/school-holidays
A Crafty Frames workshop will be held at Laurieton Library for 8 years plus on Tuesday October 1 from 10am to 11am, and Port Macquarie Library will hold a Crafternoon for 8 years plus on Tuesday October 1 from 2-3.30pm.
There will be an Up-Cycle Craft T-shirt to Superhero Cape workshop in Port Macquarie Library on Wednesday October 9 from 10am to 11.30am for eight years plus.
Reading Is My Super Power Literary Society Reading Circle, for 8-14 year-olds, meets in Port Macquarie Library on Wednesday October 2 from 10am to 11am.
Bring your gently read, pre-loved books along to the Big Book Swap at Port Macquarie library on Saturday October 5, from 10am to 11.30am, and pick up some new adventures. Drop them off beforehand to collect your swap tokens. Kids, teen and adult books in good condition are accepted and bring your own bag.
The library van will be at the Wauchope Family Fun Day and Teddy Bears Picnic on Wednesday October 9 from 10am to 1pm in Bain Park. Go to the library van for craft and stories.
Kids and their grownups will have fun creating art together at the Glasshouse Sprouts Roadshow at Wauchope Library on Thursday October 10 from 11am to 12pm. The artworks are inspired by Glasshouse Regional Gallery exhibitions and are a great way to learn creatively.
The activities are just $7.50 per child and places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. Ages 4-9 and their carers. Bookings via Glasshouse on 6581 8888.
