Chantel Lee Chard, 28, of Port Macquarie pleaded guilty to driving with a high range blood alcohol content when she appeared before Magistrate Price in Port Macquarie Local Court on September 4.
Her blood alcohol reading was .151. The incident took place between 1.48am and 2.30am on June 29, 2019.
Court documents said that police were notified by members of the public about their concerns over a vehicle travelling south on the Pacific Highway.
Police sighted the motor vehicle on Glen Ewan Road and also noticed two young children in the rear seat of the vehicle.
The accused was seen to be obviously affected by alcohol, the documents said.
Police said she smelt strongly of alcohol and was unsteady on her feet and unable to stand still.
The documents said that the accused was at a loss to explain why she had driven the 40 kilometres to Kempsey and return to Port Macquarie.
Magistrate Price convicted Ms Chard, disqualifying her from driving for 11 months, ordered to be supervised by corrections officers and placed on an intensive corrections order and must abstain from consuming alcohol for nine months.
She must also have zero blood alcohol when driving for 48 months.
