All students are involved in the process, which has seen improvements in communication, relationship building and problem solving.
The Super Sunday Spring Fair is on September 22, 10am until 2pm on the school grounds. Funds from the event will go to help offset costs of constructing a new playground area.
There are already some 20 stall holders booked along with five children's rides.
Students are also busily creating their own products to sell while there will also be a car wash, art show, garage sale site and the individual stall holders.
All the planning has been undertaken by the 5/6 students.
Teacher Maneesha McNabb says students are dealing with deadlines, finding and booking stallholders, marking out stall sites, creating promotional films and creating posters and press releases.
"This project has helped with improving leadership skills, while helping build relationships between the students and the wider community," she said.
"Direct teaching is still involved, but we are relating it back to organising the spring fair.
"It is also helping students to build resilience and to receive and accept constructive criticism.
"This is about helping the students to look outward rather than inward and to ask for feedback."
Where the students did not know how to overcome a problem in the classroom they then sought out an expert to help them achieve their goal.
This has seen event managers and social media and media experts address the students.

Principal Joyanne Walsh says the improvements in the students has been noticeable.
"There is a real willingness to learn how to improve their work and a willingness to take on feedback," she said.
"This is about moving the students' learning forward. This has been an exciting project.
"I've noticed strong improvements in collaborative skills and working better in a group and how to accept feedback."
Mrs Walsh said the Super Sunday Spring Fair would also act as a catalyst to attract new enrolments to the school.
"By increasing public awareness in our school, we are also increasing enrolment opportunities," she said.
"We are currently the only school in the Port Macquarie-Hastings that has an all-school approach to Project Based Learning.
"It is certainly creating a sense of pride about our school and the students' abilities," she said.
"The students have been so successful that we are nearing capacity for stall holders but we welcome more enquiries."
The Port Macquarie Adventist School Super Sunday Spring Fair is on Sunday September 22, 10am until 2pm.
