People living with dementia have created, crafted and cultivated all manner of items for every age group that can be used in or around the home.
Their wares will be on sale at a pop-up market in the centre on Saturday, August 31.
These include painted plant pots, plants, bird feeders, fairy houses, loom-knitted beanies and scarves, cot and pram blankets, key hooks, artworks and much more.
They'll also bake the morning tea treats that will be on sale.
The creators of these items are clients at the day centre, who crafted them as part of the busy program of engaging activities.
Omnicare supports people living with dementia applying the not-for-profit organisation's own The WISER (wellness, innovation, support, enablement and research) Approach.
This is a Montessori-based initiative that accommodates the individual's unique interests, skills and abilities. Omnicare facilitates programs that provide meaningful and purposeful activities that foster independence and a sense of community.
There will be live music at the pop-up market, and a barbecue.
The market will run from 8am to 2pm on Saturday, located at Greenmeadows Day Centre, 91 Greenmeadows Drive, Port Macquarie.
This fundraiser will assist the purchase of supplies for the centre's activity programs.
