The mental health campaign complete with musicians, informative cutouts and activities was a great success at Port Macquarie Private Hospital on Friday, July 12.
A barbecue was setup by Port Macquarie Rotary Club for the event.
R U OK? chief executive Katherine Newton said the tour is about educating people of having a conversation, asking, listening, encouraging action and checking in after the conversation.
"We are hoping people can consider three things as signs such as what people are they saying, what are they doing and what's happening in their life," said Ms Newton.
"Are they talking about things being hopeless at the moment or they're not seeing value in anything.
"Quite often we do think about depression being sad, down caste but it can also be hyper activity and cheerfulness.
"It's anything out of the norm, that's when people need to trust the signs and ask the question."
The convoy will now head around Australia through 24 communities from July 10 to September 12 before returning to Sydney for R U OK? Day.
"We're definitely trying to hit as many regional areas as we can, we know that the rates of suicide are unfortunately higher in regional areas," said Ms Newton.
"Distance is an issue but we need to get the conversation started.
"When those who work the land are doing it tough it's important that we do reach out to them and ask what it is that we can do to help."
