Students at both College campuses have been involved in the design and painting process with each campus getting a colourful mural to display.
The project is part of the Department of Education Art Unit's Mural in a Day initiative.
The murals have been made on a movable canvas and is a collaboration which encompass all the creative learning areas, including; dance, film and photography, art, drama, music and ceramics.
Students came up with a brief for artist Chloe Hardgraves to develop an art piece that is interactive, allowing students to engage with the creative and performing arts.
Students Kayley Edwards and Darlene Riveros said they were proud to be part of the mural which will be installed at the beginning of term three.
"Our mural has been painted by students from all different year levels to show unity and the school coming together," Kayley said.
"We have been working on the mural all day and we decided to paint a tree which represents coming together and growing together."
"To me it shows Westport's school spirit and that we are all one big family," Darlene said.
Visual arts teacher Jess Wilkinson said the mural project was a collaborative way students were taking ownership of their school.
"Last year the student leadership group identified they wanted to have a mural in the school to brighten up the shared spaces in the school and to be more inclusive," Ms Wilkinson said.
"We then fundraised to be part of the Mural in a Day project and now we are this great piece of art for our school.
Artist Chloe Hardgraves said she was very impressed by the students who helped paint the mural.
"It has been great working with the students over the two days first at the Port Macquarie campus and now at the Westport campus," Ms Hardgraves said.
"The students really know what they are doing and it has been a lot of fun bringing their creations to life."
