Since joining Hastings Valley at the start of the 2013 season, the Vikings stalwart has played in six-straight season deciders.
"I've played in six grand finals at Oxley Oval," he said.
On Saturday, he will run out in game 100 for the club as last year's reserve grade premiers look to continue on the path to yet another grand final.
"We're chasing something pretty special in reserve grade at the end of the year; it's unprecedented to win six premierships in a row so that's the end goal," Horan said.
"The only reason I've come back to play is for that."
Another minor reason for Horan's decision to continue in pursuit of 100 games is his relationship with coach Mark Howard.
"We coached (the club's) first reserve grade side to ever win a grand final in 2013 and it's a bit fitting he's back coaching and I'm playing under him," he said.
Horan knows they still have work to do before they can even contemplate a shot at the big dance.
"There is a fair bit of work to do between grand final day and where we are at the moment, that's for sure," he said.
"There are a lot of other teams who think they're a chance of winning the comp in any senior grade ... it's pretty open.
"(But) there's a lot that can go on in the next six to eight weeks."
In first grade, the Vikings will look to continue their unbeaten season when they host the Cannonballs.
Reserve grade kicks off at 1.50pm with first grade at 3.15pm.
