Janet and Julie Ho are Port Macquarie Landcare members and are passionate about nature and the environment.
The women attended the Mother's Day Orchid and Bromeliad Show on Sunday, May 12.
"I have an appreciation for orchids and it's lovely to see such a full range of them here," said Janet.
Julie said she often sees native orchids growing in the rainforest locations near Port Macquarie.
"I saw one recently which was growing up the trunk of a tree," she said.
Port Macquarie Orchid and Bromeliad Society Andrew Young said he was very impressed with attendance for the show.
Orchids were judged on the shape of their flower, colour and general appeal.
The Sky Dragon Penjing Group had a bonsai display and member Glenn Broomham said the exhibit came together thanks to five people.
The group had received feedback the display was of international standard.
