A call has gone out for artists, performers and businesses keen to take part in ArtWalk 2019, as well as for listings of satellite events.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's group manager community place Lucilla Marshall said ArtWalk showcased local culture and talent.
The ArtWalk night on July 18 will see the Port Macquarie CBD become the stage for contemporary works from art installations to digital projections onto buildings, exhibitions and pop-up performances.
The council is calling for online expressions of interest from individual artists, groups and artist collaborations to be featured as part of the public component of ArtWalk.
Businesses are encouraged to take part by hosting artists, displaying artworks or hosting live music.
Online registration has opened for businesses keen to become involved.
People can also list events as part of the July 18 to 21 program of Artwalk 2019 satellite events.
Artist Yvonne Kiely describes ArtWalk as exciting and vibrant with benefits for artists and the community.
She said it was a great opportunity for local artists to gain exposure and talk about their craft.
"It's also a great opportunity for locals to see what talent there is and it's a lovely community atmosphere," Ms Kiely said.
She urges artists to put their best foot forward in terms of lodging an expression of interest.
The 2019 theme is a reflection on elements, which explores the concept of elements across lands looking to earth, wind, water and fire.
Ms Marshall said ArtWalk's flexibility meant people could dip in and out of the offerings.
ArtWalk 2018 attracted about 11,000 people to the CBD.
Ms Marshall said the council was looking at how to expand the event to get more people immersed into culture and our place.
