The Wauchope CBD will come alive with creative happenings.
Bain park will be host to a Makers and Artists Market from 10am to 3pm, while creative displays and workshops will be held in various locations around the CBD.
The day will include dancing, music, displays, workshops and demonstrations featuring the best of our local talent across all creative genres.
A small but dedicated team including NSW TAFE Teachers and Events students, members of the Wauchope Chamber of Commerce and local artists have been busy organising this wonderful creative community event.
There are also subsidised workshops as part of a Country Arts Support Program (CASP) grant from Regional Arts NSW. The workshops include art forms such as Batik, felting, collage, pottery and bead making.

Creative Wauchope spokesperson Lisa McPherson said there are many hidden gems across our region.
"It's about time we shine a light on the creative souls that live among us. Often you hear people rave about exciting and out of the box things they have seen and now we can bring that sense of excitement to Wauchope. We all have a creative side," she said.
The Creative Wauchope Festival falls the day before Mother's Day and offers a fabulous opportunity to gather family and friends, head to Wauchope and get creative.
Local artists and creatives should book their stall now to be part of the market in Bain Park and local business are encouraged to register their involvement and be included in event promotions.

Local businesses can get involved in the festival by:
- opening late on the day
- having a stall
- hosting an artist
- hosting a busker
- promoting the event with a poster in the window
- promoting it online
