It's been a great start to the season for the Blues, knocking off Taree City and Wingham in the opening two rounds, and after the Easter break, coach Anthony Boyd says his team is eager to make it three up, which would be the best start to the season the Blues have had in over five years.
Sunday will also mark a very special occasion for much loved character of the club Nick "Buckets" McCabe as he trots out for his 100th first grade match for the Blues. Buckets was painfully close to reaching this milestone last season.
However through injury, and a week off after the birth of his and partner Whitney's baby boy, Lachie, he fell just short of the 100. Nick joined the Blues in 2012 where he has cemented his spot as a prominent first grader.
He also had great success with the club being apart of the 2012 and 13 grand final winning sides. Bucket has also taken on coaching roles with the ladies league tag and positions on the general committee and with this added commitment to the club earned himself the Dan Roods memorial player club person of the year in 2017.
The Blues are wishing Nick all the best for his big game and are hoping come Sunday there is plenty of support out there to cheer him on.
In other matches, the Reserve grade will be looking to grab their first win for the season, after a shaky start, numbers are starting to improve and some more commitment on the training paddock will see a win just around the corner.
The Brent Dornan coached under 18's will be looking to continue their winning form into this Sunday after a solid start to the season against Wingham. The ladies league tag will be chasing their first victory as they are finally able to put a full strength team on the paddock.
League tag will kick off at 11.30 a.m. followed by 18's, Reserves and then First Grade at 3p.m.
There will be a full bar and canteen available.
