Headline events will be live streamed to Players Theatre, with the support of Port Macquarie-Hastings Libraries, from Friday, May 3 to Sunday, May 5.
Audience members can submit questions via Twitter and SMS during the broadcast to the writers on stage.
The authors featured include Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Meg Wolitzer, Rachel Kushner, David Marr, Max Porter, Andrew Sean Greer and Leigh Sales.
Artistic director Michaela McGuire said it had been extremely heartwarming to see so many people right around the country embrace the Live and Local program.
The 2019 program is streamed to more than 35 locations including Port Macquarie.
Ms McGuire encouraged people not to be put off if they hadn't read the books.
There will be sessions with a literary focus and others with a topical focus.
Conversations will celebrate books and challenge the ideas surrounding the 2019 theme Lie to Me.
"Hundreds of the world's most exciting writers will gather in Sydney to examine the white lies and deceptions that are necessary for survival and malicious lies that are spun with darker intent," Ms McGuire said.
"They'll explore the ways that writing can be used to deceive others in an increasingly post-truth world and look at the lies that we tell ourselves and each other, and those we collectively tell as a country."
Bookings for the Sydney Writers' Festival Live and Local live stream can be made through the Glasshouse website.
