Douglas Vale Historic Homestead and Vineyard function and public relations coordinator Kay Morrison said the heritage open day exposed Douglas Vale's wonderful attributes.
"We are hoping that the people who have never been here before will realise what a wonderful asset it is, being the oldest timber homestead and oldest vineyard [in the Hastings]."
The open day featured entertainment, attractions, stalls, free wine tasting and tours and tasty food.
Douglas Vale was founded in 1859 and the homestead was lived in by four generations of the one family for 132 years.
It is now heritage listed under the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and is also listed under National Trust.
The Douglas Vale Conservation Group is responsible for the maintenance and restoration of this unique property.
