Recent winners of best regional and outer suburban act 2018 at The Age Music Victoria Awards, This Way North are getting the attention and accolades they deserve.
Cat Leahy (drums/vocals) and Leisha Jungalwalla (guitar/vocals) hail from regional Victoria and have brought their passion and energy to audiences from Canada to Central Australia (via New Zealand and more).
With their reputation for powerful live shows, This Way North are in demand on the festival circuit. Their expansive sound seems to translate effortlessly from the studio to stages of every size.
Perhaps best known for their 2017 hit single Head Above Water the girls will also perform tracks from their latest EP.
"Those rumbling drums, that sneaky little slide guitar line... the way it all comes together to become a lush, powerful piece of music that's so easy to get caught up in" was a fitting tribute to the band by Double J Radio.
Wauchope Arts is excited to have this awesome duo, after they were spotted by Krissa Wilkinson at Mullumbimby Music Festival last year.
Tickets are available at the door from 7.30pm.
