This planning doesn't happen overnight, it is a detailed and complex process as we look to the future and how we are going to deliver the services and projects our community expects, with the money that's available.
Your input into the plan is really important, as all the feedback you provide us throughout the year is used to help us understand your priorities, and we balance these with the many other services, projects and activities we need to deliver on behalf of our growing community. It's about looking after and maintaining existing services and infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and working hard to ensure we can cope with the growth our community is experiencing.
We know there are lots of challenges ahead, and by working together we can ensure we are well placed to meet these challenges... head on. So please, take the time to get involved, tell us what you think and be part of the conversation.
During the next month is a great opportunity to do this, and I ask everyone to 'have your say' on our plans for the 2019-20 financial year.
You can do this in a number of ways... through Council's website, drop into our Customer Service Centre's in Laurieton, Port Macquarie and Wauchope or give us a call on 6581 8111. And if you see our staff out and about in the community in coming weeks at one of our pop-up stands, please stop and have a chat.
We can't build a prosperous community alone, it takes strong community partnerships for great things to happen... so let's do this together.
