Local SES teams attended three call outs after lightning and heavy rain in town from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday, March 24.
SES training officer Katie Blake said there had been lightning and a short burst of torrential rain, calling crews to conduct temporary repairs in town.
"There were three call outs over the weekend," she said.
"They were mostly tree damage and storm related localised property damage.
"We had a branch fall onto a roof, branches blocking a road and roof damage with roof leaking into a laundry area."
Ms Blake said storms had caught some residents unprepared.
"This is a timely reminder to clean out gutters, prone trees which may be overhanging areas and generally assess property for potential dangers," she said.
