The annual event was hosted by North Coast Herpetology Group at Port Macquarie Panthers.
Jack Thomas attended the expo and is now the proud owner of a bearded dragon.
Jack hadn't decided on a name for his lizard yet, but said he was looking forward to taking it home.
"I know they like to eat crickets and cockroaches," he said.
"You have to keep them safe in an enclosure with heat lamps.
"They like a little bit of sunlight."
Port Macquarie's Kate Bain also became the new owner of a baby children's python at the expo.
She said the snake would make a fantastic pet for the children.
Stuart Johnson led the reptile pit talk for Billabong Zoo, much to the delight of children and adults who got the opportunity to pat the animals.
