The meeting will be held on Wednesday March 20 starting at 5.30pm at the Wauchope Showground Hall, on High Street Wauchope.
Changing the venue for Council meetings forms part of the ‘Taking Council to the Community’ program, providing greater community access to meetings and engagement in Council’s decision making processes.
“The majority of Council meetings are held in Port Macquarie, which means residents living in Wauchope, Laurieton and surrounding areas must travel to attend a meeting which is not always easy or convenient to do,” said Deputy Mayor Lisa Intemann.
“We’re keen to ensure all members of our community can access and engage with Council, and encourage anyone in our growing community to come along, hear the discussions and have your say at the upcoming meeting in Wauchope.”
The agenda for the meeting will be available on Council’s website www.pmhc.nsw.gov.au/councilmeetings from Friday March 15, or can be viewed from Monday March 18 at Council offices and Libraries.
Residents can also address Council on agenda items, or in the Public Forum for items not listed on the formal agenda. Anyone wishing to address Council will be required to complete and submit the appropriate forms no later than 4.30pm on Tuesday 19 March.
Forms are available at www.pmhc.nsw.gov.au/councilmeetings or at Council Customer Service Centres. You can also phone 6581 8111 and a customer service assistant can complete the form over the phone with you.
