Despite Hastings all-rounder Aaron Hagenbach's best efforts with bat and ball, Manning snuck over the line in the 37th over chasing down the 134 required for victory.
Manning won the toss and sent Hastings in on a pitch that had sweated for 18 hours under the covers.
The Manning opening attack of Michael Clark and Shaun Carr exploited a wicket that was alive with their experience and guile.
They finished with two wickets each for a combined 45 runs from 16 overs in a high standard of bowling.
Hastings batsmen struggled and tried their hardest to survive till the sun and wind dried the wicket out.
Manning captain Daniel Stone came on and bowled eight overs straight for a measly 13 runs in an outstanding effort.
Meanwhile, Hastings batsmen Ben Marron and Hagenbach were using their skills to not get out.
Runs were very hard to find and at drinks Hastings were 4-63.
Jason Blythe made an excellent 35 to get the runs flowing before the hosts were all out in the 38th over for 133.
Ian Cameron claimed the honours for Manning taking 3-39, finishing the series with 11 wickets in three matches.
In reply, Manning batted and quickly lost a wicket.
Richard Eggins came to the wicket and proceeded to bat through to finish with a match-winning 41 not out.
He combined for a 66-run partnership with Josh Ferris before Ferris gifted his wicket on 47.
The fun began as wickets started to tumble and Hastings dragged themselves back into the match as Manning slumped from 3-82 to 8-118.
Hastings skipper Hagenbach took the ball and bowled seven straight overs taking 3-28 to almost get his team home.
Manning opening bowler Shaun Carr then came in to bat with Richard Eggins to get Manning home in the 37th over with a lofted on-drive for four.
Indeed, a terrific and well-played game. The spirit of cricket was very evident.
Both captains, Aaron Hagenbach from Hastings and Daniel Stone from Manning, are to be congratulated for the way the game was played.
