Paige was recently selected to play with the 2019 Polding team. She was the youngest tennis player to be selected for the team.
In 1995 the NSW Catholic Primary School Sports Council (NSWCPS) was established to coordinate a representative sports structure involving students and teachers in the NSW Catholic primary and central schools.
Paige won five out of six matches when she played at Lismore against other students from year 5 and 6.
She will play in the state Primary Schools Sports Association tournament from May 7-10.
It was the first time Paige had tried out for the tournament and her mum Allison Kennedy is extremely proud of her daughter.
Paige's idol is Ash Barty and she too would one day like to play for Australia.
Paige can't imagine a world where she wouldn't be able to play tennis.
"It's a great way to outside, have fun with friends and made new friends," she said.
Paige also enjoys teaching younger children how to play the game.
Allison said Paige's coach Gary Harty is extremely supportive of her and helps Paige so that she can achieve her best.
In 2018 Paige was crowned the North Coast Tennis Champion after winning the 10-year-old division girls final at the North East Champion of Champions event in Grafton.
Paige came from behind to win the final 6-4 against Nambucca Heads’ Sienna Anderson.
Paige will again vie for the title when the Junior Development Tournament kicks off this weekend. She will compete in eight tournaments in the lead up to the championships.
