Meredith Ryan from FAWNA says it's that time of year when soft fruits are ripening, and the dry weather is sending the flying-foxes to alternate food sources.
"We are also getting more flying-foxes caught in barbed wire and we would like to caution the public not to try to disentangle them but to call on FAWNA who will send a vaccinated rescuer," she added.
