Graeme Brittain from Weatherzone said temperatures will stay in the low 30s for the weekend with a cool breeze ensuring optimum celebrating weather.
“Temperatures are expected to rise to around 30 degrees today (Thursday),” Mr Brittain said.
“However there is also a chance of a shower on the coast but more than likely inland from Port Macquarie.
“From tomorrow however, we can expect temperatures to rise a few degrees higher and sit at around 33 degrees for Friday and across the long weekend.”
Mr Brittan said these hot temperatures are consistent with this time of the year but over the weekend will be slightly higher than average.
“The sea breeze will give surfers a good chance to get out and catch some waves but generally speaking the beaches will be pretty calm,” he said.
“The other good things about the breeze will be temperatures will feel one or two degrees cooler than foretasted.
“At this stage the hot weather will stick around into the next working week.”
